United States Air Force - North American JF-86F Sabre 52-4608 (msn 191-304), with belly mounted Rocketdyne AR 2-3 rocket engine and two large 200 gal hydrogen peroxide underwing oxidiser tanks. Armed with two GAR-8A (later designated AIM-9B) Sidewinder missiles, it was able to climb to 30, 000 ft in 24 seconds. 1953-54: 81st FBS (50th FBW). Then 4530th CCTW.1959: Converted to F-86F(R)July 1960: Re-designated as JF-86F.Sold to civilian market, sans rocket engine, with registration N57963.Currently preserved in San Martin, CA.. Date: 1960
