Short SC.1 XG905, the second SC.1, on the tether rig at Belfast for initial tethered flight tests. The firstt SC.1, XG900, had conducted Engine running trials and was transported to the A&AEE at Boscombe Down for conventional flight trials in 1957. First conventional flight was by XG900 on 2 April 1957 at Boscombe Down and the first vertical flight was carried out by XG905 on 26 May 1958 at Belfast. Date: 1958
