Built by by William Beardmore and Company in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, Scotland, R34 first flew on 14 March 1919 and later made the first East-West aerial crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. Success was short lived and R34 was damaged beyond repair in January 1921. Date: circa 1920
