Handley Page HP.42W Western G-AAXC Heracles (msn 42/5) of Imperial Airways Ltd. on the apron at Croydon Airport. Heracles was the fifth Western to be built, entering service on 23 April 1930 and remaining in service until wrecked in a gale at Whitchurch, near Bristol on 19 April 1940, finally being scrapped in July 1942.
