Boeing XB-47D Stratojet 51-2103 (msn 450176) flying as the Wright XT49 Test-bed in the 1950s built as a Boeing B-47B-30-BW Stratojet and re-designated EB-47B in April 1952.December 1954: Converted to XB-47D test-bed for the Wright XT49 turboprop as Boeing Model 450-162-49, first flown on 26 August 1955. The XT-49 was a turboprop development of the Wright J65 (which was a licence- built-developed Armstrong-Siddeley Sapphire), rated at 10, 400 shaft-horsepower. Date: circa 1955
