Peggy Salaman, 19 year old aviatress, who flew from Lympe in Kent to Cape Town, South Africa in November 1931, beating the existing record set by Glen Kidston by more than a day. A London debutante, Peggy shared flying duties with an assistant pilot, Mr Store, an instructor at the London Aeroplane Club. She is pictured wit her mother, Mrs Elkin Salaman of Albany, New York and her sister. Date: 1931
