Prince Olav of Norway, formerly Prince Alexander of Denmark and later King Olav V (1903-1991). The only child of King Haakon VII of Norway (Prince Charles of Denmark) and Queen Maud of Norway (formerly Princess Maud of Wales, youngest daughter of King Edward VII), Prince Olav, seen here in uniform, was a keen sportsman. He excelled at skiing and won a gold medal for yachting at the 1928 Olympics
