A Rickshaw boy of Durban in their remarkable costume. Introduced from Japan, the rickshaw became a form of transport in Durban in the late 19th century. The Scottish cargo steamship Baron Dalmeny in the background (Owner: Hugh Hogarth & Sons, Ardrossan ) was built in 1924 by William Hamilton & Co. Port Glasgow. Broken up in 1960. Date: circa 1920s
