Svetlana Stalin (Svetlana Iosifovna Alliluyeva, aka Stalina, later Lana Peters, 1926-2011), writer, youngest child and only daughter of the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and his second wife, Nadezhda Alliluyeva. She defected to the USA in 1967, later becoming a naturalised US citizen. She returned to the Soviet Union in 1984, but returned to the USA in 1986. In the 1990s she settled in the UK, but has since returned to the USA. Date: circa 1960s
