Laurence Housman, (18 July 1865 ?? 20 February 1959) playwright, writer and illustrator. Illustration from A Farm in Fairyland within the article by Dr Richard Garnett. Housman was known for his intricate, Art Nouveau style of illustration. As his eyesight began to fail, he took up writing, with his first novel, An Englishwoman's Love-letters in 1900. Date: 1895
