C. N. D. Demonstrators
C.N.D. demonstrators protest against the Gang of Four - Shirley Williams, Bill Rodgers, Roy Jenkins and David Owen - who broke away from the Labour Party to form the Social Democratic Party. On of the reasons for their breakaway was the Labour Party adoption of a unilateral nuclear disarmament policy. David Owen had been Foreign Secretary in the Labour government of the 1970s and his face adorns the placard. Date: March 1981
