May 1919 - prince Albert (later King George VI 1895-1952) lays the foundation stone for a new Nautical School at Poole, Dorset. The site was given by Sir Russell Cotes to train boys from the Merchant Navy in association with Dr. Barnardos Homes. Date: 1919
