Hospice du Grand St Bernard on the Great St Bernard Pass, Switzerland. A hospice for travellers was founded in 1049 and named after Saint Bernard of Menthon. The hospice later became famous for its St. Bernard dogs. The hospice still functions, occupying two buildings dating from 1560 and 1898. Priests heading out on skis on a trip to the Col de Fenetre, a valley of the Pennine Alps, located in Valle dAosta between the municipalities of Arnad and Perloz. Date: circa 1910s
