A lady strolling along a winding stream with a lantern on a pole over her shoulder by Miyagawa Choshun (1683-1753). Note she is wearing Geta - a form of traditional Japanese footwear that resemble clogs and flip-flops. They are a kind of sandal with an elevated wooden base held onto the foot with a fabric thong to keep the foot well above the ground. Date: late 18th century
