WW2 - Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) Firemen, including (top right) George Arthur Roberts (1891-1970) - soldier (in WW1), Fireman, and Community Leader. Throughout the London Blitz, Roberts served as a fire fighter. He was based at New Cross Fire Station and in 1943 was made a section leader. Date: circa 1942
