The Trenches of Death Museum by the River Izjer, Dixmuide
The Trenches of Death formed a Belgian defensive line along the west bank of the River Izjer which was pivotal in preventing the Germans breaking through to the Channel Ports. The Museum has an upstairs viewing room giving good sight over the battlefields and there is a formidable collection of photographs of the Ijzer campaign and of video displays in four languages.
