Canadian forces had been given clear objectives by Major General R.F.L Keller their Divisional Commander. Lines of advance were called Yew, Elm and Oak and important villages were also named. Beny was Aleppo. The Memorial thanks the Chaudieres for liberating Beny s/Mer Aleppo on 6 June. Date: 2009
