Clostermann, the First Free French pilot to land in Normandy (ALG B2), held the DFC and Bar and the Legion d Honneur. The Memorial is in the shape of a Spitfire wing. On the wall is a plaque to 83rd Control Group RAF. The figure is a Group veteran who, hosted by a local French family, returned to the area for over 25 years on each 6 June. Date: 2009
