Pre World War One charity midnight ball, in aid of The National Institute for the Blind, taking place at the Savoy on 25 June, everyone who attended bought a ticket for a lucky-dip, with the winner receiving a Daimer motor-car of the value of 600 and any of the beautiful dresses shown or a piece of jewellery, the total amount 3000.
