The Highly Colored Tie by J Mills and F W Venton
The Highly Coloured Tie music hall song of 1893 by J. Mills and F. W. Venton, and sung by Arthur Albert. The illustration, by H G Banks, shows a gentleman wearing such a brightly coloured tie that had a profound effect on all who saw it, including being frightening horses, rained on and being accused of bringing cholera into a theatre although the common consensus seems to be that it was made by his mother from a patchwork quilt Date: 1893
