Impressions and personalities at the Florida Club in South Bruton Mews, renowned for its glass dance floor, which triggered a craze for them in other clubs in and around London. Top left is Captain J. Drummond, the club secretary, bottom right is Quagline (perhaps Quaglino?), the maitre d, and also Toothpick (wearing a fez), dispensing the cafurk and his Oriental friend Abdullah, whose attention is divided between cigars and the business of reading ladies palms.
