Dewey Triumphal Arch and Colonnade, Madison Square, New York City, NY, USA - erected for a parade in honor of Admiral George Dewey celebrating his victory at the Battle of Manila Bay in the Philippines in 1898. Ultimately the plaster constructure deteriorated and a lack of publilc support led to the structure being demolished in 1900. Date: circa 1899
