On the pyramid there is the Nuestra Senora de los Remedios Church. Cholula was a center of Mesoamerican culture and originally belonged to the empire of Teotihuacan, in 800 it was conquered by the Mixtec and in the 15th century by the Aztecs. Date: circa early 1930s
