The Battle of Pacocha in the Pacific - an engagement between the HMS Shah and HMS Amethyst against the rebel Peruvian ship Huascar off Ilo, on 29th May 1877. This was an attempt to capture it after the rebels used the Huascar to raid ships trading with Peru out of El Callao. Date: 29th May 1877
