The memorial plaque is on a wall facing Omaha Beach. A forceof the British Small Scale Raiding Force Commando of 11 men commanded by Major Gus March - Phillips attempted a landing here but came under German fire as they landed. Two members of the team were shot on 13 September and Major March- Phillips was drowned. All three are buried in Normandy
