Two aboriginal men, named Garicha and Boyguda, of Cape York, Australia

Two aboriginal men, named Garicha and Boyguda, of Cape York, Australia, who were brought to Britain in 1853 after accidentally remaining on board Captain Stricklands ship, Scotia when it docked there. The mens canoe broke adrift and they refused to disembark at another spot along the Australian coast for fear other tribes hostility. So they instead sailed all the way to England! Date: 1853
