Mrs W. B. Leeds, described by the Tatler as one of the best-known and most beautiful members of New York Society, pictured on the magazines front cover at the time she had taken Kenwood House in Hampstead. It also adds that, Mrs Leeds is keenly interested in war work, and subscribed a million pounds sterling to the last war loan. Mrs W.B. Leeds, born Nonnie May Stewart. Nancy came from a wealthy family and had previously married well twice before. Her marriage to Prince Christopher of Greece took place on 1 January 1920 in Switzerland after a long, six year engagement. Her fortune helped the Greek royal family during a particularly penurious period in their history, but she was to die of cancer just three years after her marriage. Date: 1917
