Mrs Mabel St Clair Stobart, pictured on horseback on the front cover of The Tatler. Mrs Mabel St Clair Stobart, was founder of the Womens Sick and Wounded Convoy Corps (1912) and the Womens National Service League (1914) was a supporter of womens suffrage before the First World War. She tended the sick and wounded in the First Balkan War and was in Belgium for the outbreak of war in 1914. She was imprisoned by the Germans for the while and in 1915, went to Serbia to continue her work. Tatler call her an English heroine. Date: 1915
