Memorial to Fallen English Soldiers - Mount Urgull, Spain
Memorial to Fallen English Soldiers of the Spanish Foreign Legion - Mount Urgul, San Sebastian Spain. In 1836 during the First Carlist War, a force of 10, 000 men under the command of De Lacy Evans had assembled in San Sebastian. They were pushed back and had to hold the fort on Mount Urgull, to prevent the Carlists from taking the city. Sadly, the memorial today is in a very poor state of repair. Date: circa 1910s
