May " Toupie" Lowther (also Toup饠 Lowther, English tennis player and fencer active during the last decade of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th century. Lowther was also an outstanding fencer, a keen motorist, weightlifter and practitioner of jujitsu. Pictured on the front cover of The Sketch at the time she had challenged a Captain Hutton to a fight with foils. What a gal! Date: 1898
