London Fire Engine Establishment (LFEE) fire station
An example of an LFEE fire station building, possibly in East London. The LFEE was created in 1833 and would eventually have nineteen fire stations. The LFEE was unable to deal with the growth of London and a series of disastrous fires led to the establishment of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade on 1 January 1866
