Situated in Plumstead High Street and opened in 1906, Plumstead fire station was one of the LCC boundary fire stations bordering onto the Kent Fire Brigade until 1965 and the creation of Greater London under the GLC. The letter V is substituted for the U in the lettering on the building (Euston fire station is also spelt using a V for the U)
