Lion Rock, Dovedale, Derbyshire with two Edwardian ladies
A fine example of what the prosperous Edwardian lady would wear for a walk in the coutry - on the left is Kate Nash, daughter of an industrialist from London, and on the right is Edith Battersby (nee Ratcliffe 1880 - 1969). She had married Walter Battersby, the photographers brother, in January 1909, a few months prior to the photograph. Date: 1909
