Leanders Tower, Constantinople
Leanders Tower, Constantinople, also known as Kiz Kulesi, set within a border of a large white seashell. Also known as the Maidens Tower - standing a few hundred metres off the village of Uskudar on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Previously used as an inspection station by the Turkish Navy, now the interior has been turned into a rather good restaurant. Structure dates from the 18th century and one of the most famous landmarks in Istanbul
