Lady Scott with her son Peter at Natural History Museum
Lady Scott, formerly Kathleen Bruce, sculptor and wife of Captain Scott, fulfilling her late husbands wishes by teaching and instilling an interest in natural history in their son, Peter, who would, later, grow to become a respected naturalist. The little boy is dressed in a rather skimpy outfit as they visit the Natural History Museum with bare legs and feet - and The Bystander magazine (which published this picture) suggests this is to train him towards a career in Polar exploration.
