Lady Patricia Ramsay, formerly Princess Patricia of Connaught (1886-1974) with her son, Master Alexander Ramsay of Mar (1919-2000) around 1927. Lady Patricia chose to marry one of her fathers ADCs, the Hon. Alexander Ramsay. When her father, the Duke of Connaught, eventually agreed to the marriage, the couple enjoyed the first Royal wedding to be celebrated in Westminster Abbey since the thirteenth century. Patricia gave up royal titles, but remained a member of the royal family, present on State and family occasions. She was a gifted artist
