King Edward VIII visits Queen Mary Ocean Liner
Shortly before the liner leaves Clydebank in Scotland, for Southampton on her trials. King Edward VIII visits Queen Mary Ocean Liner, for the third time, the King insisting on seeing everything for himself and covering a good eight-and-a half miles on foot, he climbed ladders and descended lifts, asked the men questions about their work, and afterwards goes to examine some of the worst slums in the country which lay almost underneath its shawdows, where some workers and their families live.
