Japan - Remarkable Fowl at Miyanoshita
Japan - Remarkable Onagadori at Miyanoshita with incredibly long tail feathers - nothing poultry about this display! Onagadori means " long-tailed fowl" in Japanese. It takes them three or more years to molt, hence the prodigious length of the feathers. The Japanese government designates the breed in Kochi as a Special Natural Monument. Date: 1939
