James Aloysius Bernard Bausch (1906 1974), a.k.a. " Jarring Jim", American athlete who competed mainly in the Decathlon pictured throwing the discus. After being in fifth place after the first day of the competition, Bausch won the gold medal in the event defying expectations that the Finnish athlete, Akilles Jarvinen would win. Date: 1932
