Isobel Elsom with Tou Tou

English Actress, Isobel Elsom (1893-1981), pictured in 1917 when she was about to star as Wendy in a new staging of Peter Pan at the New Theatre London in December 1917. Next to her is a stuffed version of Tou-Tou, the dog belonging to Eve, the Tatler magazines fictional gossip columnist. Both Eve and Tou-tou were very popular and that Christmas, Tou-tou was available as a soft toy. Date: 1917
