Its the circular ward block for the workhouse infirmary, designed in 1889 by architect R.P. Whellock, and opened the following year at Havil Street, Camberwell. Each of its four storeys contained 24 beds radiating around a central shaft in which were loacted the buildings heating and ventilation services. Date: 1889
