Yvonne as Astarte, the Goddess of the Moon, at Daly's Theatre, London. Yvonne was a musical comedy with book and lyrics by Percy Greenbank, and music by Jean Gilbert and Vernon Duke (Dukelsky). It was adapted by Greenbank from an Austrian musical of the same name. Ivy Tresmand played the title role. Date: circa 1926

Where The Rainbow Ends by John Ramsay and Clifford Mills - The Lake at the End of the Wood. First produced at the Savoy Theatre, 21 December 1911, Holborn Empire revival by Italia Conti, produced by Charles Gulliver, 1919, with music by Roger Quilter. A fantasy story following the journey of two girls, two boys and a pet lion cub in search of their parents. Travelling on a magic carpet they face various dangers on their way to rescue their parents and are guarded and helped by St George. The rainbow story is a symbol of hope with its magic carpet of faith and its noble hero St George of England in shining armour ready, as in olden times, to fight and conquer the dragon of evil. Most of the story is set in Rainbow Land complete with talking animals, mythical creatures and a white witch. Date: 1919
