House of General Suvorin at Feodosia, Crimea, Ukraine
The House of General Suvorin at Feodosia, Crimea, Ukraine. A country beach house, separated from the water by a fortress wall, where Chekhov stayed on a number of occasions. Due to its unique architecture, as well as the unusual shape of the roof the house was often seen on postcards with views of the city (as here). The building was destroyed during the First World War. Date: circa 1907
