The first National Lifeboat Institution lifeboat at Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex, donated by and named after The Honourable Artillery Company whose Drama Club sponsored it, was launched in 1884. During its service at Walton from 1884 to 1900 it was launched 84 times and saved 132 lives at sea.
