The lead ship of the Duke of Ediburgh class of armoured cruisers constructed for the Royal Navy in the mid 1900s. After participating in the Battle of Jutland in May 1916, she also acted as a convoy escort in the Atlantic Ocean. Following the end of the War she was sold for scrap in 1920 Date: 1914
