HMS Audacious, British battleship, WW1

HMS Audacious, British King George V-class battleship, launched 1912. She saw no action during the First World War, as she was sunk by a German mine off the northern coast of Donegal, Ireland, as seen in this photograph. The crew can be seen taking to the lifeboats, and other ships coming to the rescue. Date: 27 October 1914
