The shark was placed on the roof on 9 August 1986, the 41st anniversary of the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki. Made by John Buckley, 25 feet high and made of fibreglass, it is titled Untitled 1986 which can be seen on the plaque by the front door of 2 NewHigh Street in Headington, a suburb of Oxford
