Hardacre J Pitt
Hardacre J. Pitt An important touring manager in the decades around 1900, he used his notepaper to advertise his repertoire. This letter, from the Comedy Theatre, Manchester, is dated November 1894. East Lynne and The Shaughraun are still in the repertoire; Jack Shepherd and The Ticket-of-Leave Man are of the same vintage. The engagement of Henry Neville in the latter play would have been a coup for Hardacre. The Sultan of Mocha was a musical. Date: 1884
