Handing over 4.7 inch (120 mm calibre) long-range guns to the army at Salt River Railway Works, near Cape Town, South Africa, during the First World War. The guns were used by South African forces against German forces in the South-West Africa Campaign. They were delivered by sea, and then transported inland to where they were needed.
