The Grave of Lieutenant-General Sir John Moore - British Soldier and General (1761-1809) at the San Carlos Garden, A Coruna (La Coruna or Corunna), Galicia, Spain. He was killed at The Battle of Corunna (during the Peninsular War) on 16th January 1809 after being struck by a cannon ball, but lived long enough to learn of victory for the British forces. Date: circa 1930s
